Analysis of student's behavior in LMS Elogika

  • Original language description

Nowadays we are surrounded by many information systems we need to work with. These systems gather lots of data during our log in session. Stored data may be interesting from the information point of view such as information about behaving in the system and get behavioral patterns, recommending information etc. Our learning management system eLogika, which is mainly focused on teaching logic, logs the amount of data about students' behavior in this system. These data are used to describe the behavior of individual users through reduced profiles. These profiles are the basis for identifying behavioral patterns of students. Detection of students with atypical behavior and identifying groups of students with the characteristic behavioral patterns are the other stages of data analysis. The aim of these analyzes is to create a system that, based on knowledge from previous years, highlights a selected group of students and provides them relevant information. Our approach is focused on log analysis whose results can be used to describe the behavior of students throughout the LMS or in online tests related to students' final success in particular course.
