Image Analysis Methods for Detecting Driver Fatigue and Drowsiness
Original language description
The goal of this project was twofold. In the first part, the 3D model of driver's body based on the 3D map analysis (depth maps) was carried out. The second part of the project was focused on developing the method for detecting and tracking the eye and its parts. Thereafter these detected parts are used to determine where the driver is looking. Both the methods should work reliably and precisely in the complicated environment of car cockpit and should be fast. The final type of sensor that will be usedfor capturing the depth map is not known at this moment. Therefore, the software should work with various types of sensors from various manufacturers that appear on the market. In this technical report, the main ideas, experiments, and results are shown.
