Original language description
The project addresses a conceptually new strategy forming process for the flexible production of small batches of large thin-walled metal products such as metal sheets with the use of the extremely rapid and non-contact method of forming force effects of electromagnetic fields. Project SELF (Sequential electromagnetic forming - a strategy for highly flexible production of large sheet metal parts) solves the problem, which is associated with the use of progressive innovative technologies forming the metal thin-walled materials with the use of force effect of the electromagnetic field. This method of forming provides over traditional technology advantage in the non-contact high-speed process (the duration of one cycle of forming varies between 20 - 200 mikrosekundami). The basic aim of the project is the design of the pulse generator.
