Original language description
The paper presents a sensorless control method for a switched reluctance motor. The sensorless control method is based on the utilization of the Luenberger observer. It is suitable for medium and high rotor speeds of the switched reluctance motor. At first, the mathematical model describing the behavior of the machine is performed using a system of differential equations. Furthermore, the state-space model of the switched reluctance motor is used for the design of the Luenberger observer. The speed control structure of the electrical drive was carried out in the software environment Matlab-Simulink. The simulated electrical drive was tested at different operation conditions. Simulation results show that the designed sensorless method estimates the rotor angle and speed with good accuracy. (C) 2016 IEEE.
