Verifying the Functionality of Electrical Regulated Drainage in Real Operating Condition
Original language description
Electrical drainage, whose most advanced version is electrical regulated drainage, is used to protect metal devices which are buried in the ground, especially pipelines, from the corrosive effects of stray currents. These stray currents are usually generated by electric traction, such as trams and railways. The authors have worked on the development of a new type of electrical regulated drainage. During the development process and after its completion, the drainage was tested under real operating conditions. This paper deals with the evaluation of the effects of this drainage on pipeline potential, because this value is crucial in evaluating corrosion protection quality.
