Modeling and Simulations in Control Software Design
Original language description
This chapter focuses on using various modeling and simulation approaches in a process of control system design. During control system design, important steps could be realized by modeling instead of using a real system. Modeling and simulation can increase the effectiveness of the design and can help to avoid faults in control software. It can also enable verification and testing of control software when testing on the real system is not possible. There are a lot of approaches to building and usingmodels; themost typical approaches for use in control system design are described. There are also examples of modeling tools that are used in industrial area. The chapter also presents two case studies focused on processor-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop modeling.
