    Motor overcurrent protection in the function of a differential protection

  • Original language description

    Larger asynchronous motors must be equipped with a differential protection providing protection against short circuits on the motor winding. A very interesting and unconventional solution is the use of the overcurrent protection in the function of the differential protection. By applying this solution we obtain a very precise and sensitive protection without distortion and not susceptible to interference. This will result in increased reliability of asynchronous motors protection. (C) 2019 IEEE.
