Wireless Power Quality Analyser based on Virtual Instrumentation

  • Original language description

In this paper, a design of wireless communicating power quality analyser based on virtual instrumentation is described. This paper mainly focuses on describing the system integration of various components into one-phase power quality analyser. Used hardware is based on NI cDAQ 9191 combined with NI 9205. Software is purely written in LabVIEW. The main purpose of this work is to enhance the laboratory with new equipment that is simple to use, modular and portable. Further, this paper focuses on brief description of the theory behind power quality. Functionality of realised system was tested on two street-lamp types. Both technologies were thoroughly compared and analysed. Original purpose of this article is to demonstrate Virtual Instrumentation in the Power Quality area. Designed system is fully modular and useful in multiple applications. (C) 2019, IFAC (International Federation of Automatic Control) Hosting by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
