Developing a tool for symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults analysis in power system

  • Original language description

This paper presents the design and development of a tool for symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults analysis in the power system so-called "Power System Fault Analysis (PSFA)". This is a simple tool for users to analyze different types of faults in power systems such as three-line fault (LLL), single line to ground fault (SLG), line to line fault (LL), line to line to ground fault (LLG). A power system is used to test the tool and the calculation results are compared with the simulation results by Power World software. From the obtained results, the accuracy and the effectiveness of this tool are confirmed.
