Possibilities of Software Goniophotometer usage for LED Luminaires Luminous Intensity Distribution Curves Modelling - Case Study

  • Original language description

This article deals with the modelling of the required luminous intensity distribution curve (LIDC) using software for lighting systems designing. Theoretical part of article, partially describes the software, its calculation and modelling in connection with implemented software goniophotometer. The practical part (case study) is focused on LIDCs modelling. For this example, there were prepared LIDCs which fit the lighting systems in city parks. It means that LIDCs will illuminated large areas from small heights and by relatively small luminous flux. This section will explain and show in details how to create such a LIDC and export it to the required file (LDT), thus creating a new luminaire with the required LIDC. Subsequently, a model space (city park) will be created in the software. This allows to test the individual newly created luminaires and compared with respect to needed parameters.
