Calculation of the three-core cable operating capacitance
Original language description
Operating capacitance is one of the basic parameters of medium voltage cables. This value varies based on the cable type and is usually defined by the manufacturer. Presented paper deals with the calculation of the operating capacitance of the three-core belted cable using analytical relations, as well as using the programs EMTP-ATP and COMSOL. The problem of the analytical method in determining the mutual potential coefficients and the problems of capacitance determination by the software COMSOL have been described. This paper compares the results of the relationships derived by its authors and the results of the relationships obtained from the available literature.
