    The Design and Control of Universal TNPC Single-Phase Voltage Inverter

  • Original language description

    This paper provides a comprehensive design and implementation of a single-phase, T-type, neutral point clamped inverter. The paper includes a summary of power losses and efficiency evaluation, implementation of a control structure in a closed loop utilizing second-order generalized integrator phase-locked loop and THD analysis. In addition to output AC voltage control, a DC voltage control structure is designed as well. The inverter represents a universal laboratory supply unit with a nominal output power of 2 kW and adjustable output AC and DC voltage, achieving theoretical efficiency of at least 98% with output AC voltage THD less than 2%. For further development of the topic, more attention should be paid to control structures including current, power and THD control.
