    QKDNetSimv3 is a specialized simulation and emulation software for the design and analysis of networks with quantum key distribution (QKD). It allows modeling of optical and satellite network topologies, generation and distribution of encryption keys and their use in real application protocols. The new version extends the original system with support for ETSI QKD 004/014 standards, advanced QoS metrics, interfaces for connection to real network elements and testbeds, and post-processing emulations, allowing to evaluate the performance and integration of security mechanisms based on QKD without the need for physical quantum hardware. The software is implemented as an extended module of Quantum Key Distribution Network Simulator (QKDNetSim) for ns‑3.
