Influencing fire safety of buildings by means of material choice for surface treatment of external structures
Original language description
The improving of thermal and technical characteristics of peripheral coverings formerly built buildings is usually realized by means of reconstruction of peripheral walls and roof coverings. The most demanding is the application of thermal insulation onthe peripheral walls from side of the exterior. Especially organic thermal insulating boards from polystyrene with reduced flammability or anorganic thermal insulating boards from mineral fibres can be used as thermally insulating materials. The use of combustible plastics for the reconstruction of peripheral coverings of buildings is limited in accordance with the Czech standards because of their negative influence on fire safety.
