Tectonic setting and deformation history of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin
Original language description
Complex structure and paleostress studies along eastern apical domain of the Moravosilesian zone in flysh foredeep and coal-bearing molasse of Upper Silesian Coal Basin carry out. Three progressive deformation stages and mechanisms could be define. We suggested model of Variscan orogeny orocline, which explains complex tectonic and deformation history of this most eastward promontory of European Variscan orogeny. The Brunovistulian foreland terrane played an essential role in bending of the orocline.
