    The objective of biological leaching of the wastes was verification of possibility to remove chosen risk elements from metallurgical wastes. Experiments undertaken in laboratory condition concerned to verification of bacterial culture Thiobacillus ferrooxidans activity on the problematic metallurgical wastes, that are deposited at present in the dumps. Waste samples were taken from different metallurgical enterprices in Czech Republic.
