Original language description
The aim of this paper was the suitability evaluation of bacterial leaching applied on the coal sample from the locality Nastup Tušimice. The results of this work that using clean cultures of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans is in this case very good if we evaluate desulphurization from the point of view of pyrite sulphur, which after one month of leaching is almost gone from the sample contains much organic sulphur which is degraded only a little. The desulphurization of pyritic sulphur was about 71% and totaldesulphurization of coal was about 50 %.
