In the framework of dealing with the grant project No. 105/05/0013, measures determined for mining activity in the areas classed as with the 2nd degree of coal and gas outburst hazard are evaluated. In the submitted article, the evaluation of data from the area of face No. 041622/1 in the seam 10a is processed. Basic parameters of the seam and the area of face evaluated and also the method of gas drainage in the period of face operation are presented. A separate part is the evaluation of forecast indicators of coal and gas outbursts and methods of applied preventive measures to reduce the hazard of this gas-dynamic phenomenon at mining activity. In the article, the area of face evaluated is documented by a picture of mine-geological situation of the face, including the situation of gas drainage boreholes.
