In the last two centguries areal ans spatial changes of single landscape componentrs and elements occur in the alea of Ostravsko and Karvinsko due to the mining of mineral raw materials. The original character of the agricultural landscpae has been transformed to a special landscape type with rapid dynamics of changes of abiotic and biotic factors. Heaps of waste rock and technological waste (coal sludges, flůotation sludges, power plant dusts) or sanation of the area by sludge materials are changing the character of the landscape - next to the basins appera morphologically varied ecotopes contributing to the changes of natural landscape components. Its character and dynamics of development is changed. A determining factor of formation of the characteristic mining landscape is the way of carrying out of large-and small-scale reclamation of landscape segments.
