A Simple Method of the Determination of Shapes of Grains of Loose Materials
Original language description
During experimental work with loose materials the requirement often looms to know the shape of the grains of mean materials. The simplest approximation is approximation to sphere and this is chosen nearly every time. Those grains shapes of an abrasive material make influence to effectiveness of cutting and quality of surface during machining of materials by the abrasive liquid jet. In this machining processes the abrasive are used compound from minerals what have an irregular shapes of grains accordingto their mineralogy. In this contribution we have attempted to check, in base of statistical-mathematics steps, if the approximation to sphere is not so far to reality.
