Evaluation of Four Selected Geobarriers Flood Lands, Radon Hazard, Undermining and Slope Movements by Means of Geographic Information Systems
Original language description
Land planning is more and more understood to be a decisive tool, by means of which the society secures the systematic solving of functional, economic and engineering problems of the arrangement of landscape settlement, the rational use and protection ofnatural resources. The paper deals with an evaluation of four selected geobarriers (flood lands, radon hazard, undermining and slope movements) by means of geographic information systems that are geofactors endangering or limiting landscape and environment or make certain land use impossible. The area (map sheet 15-43-04) in question is located in the prominent conurbation of Ostrava, in the city districts of Lhotka, Hošťálkovice, Petřkovice, Moravská Ostrava and Přívoz, Mariánské Hory and Hulváky.
