    Modelling and Control of Coal Quarry Mining Using Virtual Reality

    Technological processes of mining in opencast coal mines are largely based on technologies such as: excavator, long-distant conveyor belt, spreader, etc. Based on our research we designed virtual model of technology, mining and quarry. The virtual modelis developed for control of the extraction, modeling and control of operational situations and safety of mining. To improve manage of mining the model is connected with automated systems of technological units or with theirs technical models. The different parts of the technology were created gradually and later all the parts were linked together and virtual model of technological systems was made. Models have been implemented in several environments, resulting in a complete model of the coal quarry technology, surface and other objects. When connected to the geological model of coal mine it?s also possible to simulate the entire situation at the quarry. The article describes the design and solutions of the quarry virtual model.
