    Utilization of Bentonite and its Modification for Sorption

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with the removal of heavy metals ions (Pb2+ and Cu2+) onto bentonite and its modifications. Modification of bentonite included natrification by NaCl and an intercalation by octadecylamine. The sorption isotherms were described using Langmuir and Freundlich models. After modelling of isotherms it has been found that the best sorption values for adsorption of Pb2+ were shown by the B5ODA1.5 sample and for adsorption of Cu2+ were shown by the B5 sample.
