Original language description
Geoinformation technologies offer efficient support in solving various, mainly technically oriented, issues. The data harmonisation process may require data transfer, changes of data schemes, data encoding, classification, taxonomy, coordinate referencesystems, metadata, generalization, vertical and horizontal conflation. The support may be implemented in integrated, but distributed, systems with service-oriented architecture. The Transcat Project provided a concept and prototype for the combination ofdata inputs from collaborating organisations, for joined modelling services, and for a common visual and analytical interface. The Humboldt Framework offers a set of software tools facilitating data harmonisation processes. It enables both, the design of harmonisation steps and the implementation of a nearly automated line, providing online data harmonisation.
