Original language description
The paper deals with a possible application of high-sulphur brown coal, where through pyrolysis a liquid product is obtained from the brown coal, which is further used in flotation as an alternative flotation agent. The brown coal samples were drawn fromthe Sokolov Region. Bacterial desulphurization using Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans was consequently applied in order to discover whether the sulphur content has any impact on the final liquid product of pyrolysis. Finally, the pyrolytic oil was used inthe flotation of black-coal slurries, both separately as well as combined with the conventional flotation agent of Montanol 800. Net heat of combustion of the pyrolytic gas was determined as a secondary assignment.
