Original language description
The work deals with investigation of root of the TH29 profile used for mines supports. The profile was evaluated both after hot rolling and after subsequent straightening that showed different impact energy values, even when the feature of fracture surfaces did not importantly differ significantly. Material corresponded to the micro-alloyed C Mn steel with V-Nb-N addition. From the carried out impact energy tests and fractal dimensions of fracture surfaces, linear and surface roughness were determined.Results showed good agreement with the impact energy values and quite good link-up relation to the detected properties
