Modifications concerning the combustion air from the pyrolysis boiler
Original language description
Gasification boilers use up to 90% of the energy contained in the wood. There is a wide range of classical boilers with manual control and direct combustion of wood and modern automatic gasification boilers available in today's market. A great advantageof this modern technology is a possibility to use up to 90% of the energy contained in the wood, which results in lower fuel consumption. It also has a significantly lower negative environmental impact, reduces the unburned solid particles in ash and therefore it requires low maintenance and cleaning. The paper deals with modification of combustion equipment necessary to reduce emissions from biomass in a boiler of type MA 23. The flue gas composition and possibilities how to affect the flue gas composition have been examined, and upon the basis of experience, there has been proposed a way to modify and control the combustion process. Only one of many proposals was selected for the studies. During the combustion it represents a primary
