This paper acquaints with the study of terrestrial isopods (Oniscidea) in the mining landscape, observes their dependence on the way of utilising of the landscape and also highlights the importance and possible utilisation of Oniscidea by bioindication.The studied area is cadastre of the village Dolní Suchá, where three localities with varying post-mining development were studied: locality with natural secondary succession, revitalised locality and the human settlements. Precursory research has shown the biggest abundance of individuals in the site with natural succession. Overall, eight species of terrestrial isopods were found with a strong dominance of species Ligidium hypnorum.
