This paper deals with the use of the LCA method in the development of special abilities in students of VŠB ? Technical University as well as its use as a support tool in projects. All life cycle analyses were performed in accordance with ISO 14040 and 14044 Standards, using SimaPro 7.2 software and Ecoinvent v2.1 database. The analyses were done according to a typical LCA study consisting of the following stages: goal and scope definition; life cycle inventory (LCI) analysis, with compilation of data both about energy and material flows and on emissions into the environment, throughout the life cycle of the case study; assessment of the potential impacts (Life Cycle Impact Assessment, LCIA) associated with the identified forms of resource use and environmental emissions.
