Original language description
The paper deals with climatic testing of a monitoring equipment prototype for measuring mine gas concentrations in exhaust pipes. The climatic (winter) tests were carried out in the testing chamber of the Thermal Laboratory at the Technical University ofOstrava. The prototype monitoring system developed by MSA Safety Czech company is used for measuring concentration, speed and volume of CH4, CO2 and O2 contained in the exhausted mine gas. In addition to these main variables the equipment also records other data through analog inputs (e.g. temperature) and binary inputs. The purpose of the climatic testing was to test the monitoring device according to the proposed schedule in winter conditions, i.e. at temperatures ranging from 0 to -17 °C.
