Comparison of the results of laminar and turbulent flow of methane in porous media
Original language description
Modeling and simulation of flow using CFD packages is an interdisciplinary task, in which a person must have knowledge of investigating phenomenon not only in the field, which is dealt with, but mainly from fluid mechanics. In the case of modeling and simulation of mine gases flow in porous medium is one of many important steps decision whether the flow in rocks has laminar or turbulent character. This article aims to identify and compare the results of modeling and simulation using laminar and turbulent flow in the modeling and simulation of phenomena in the field of gas flow through porous environment and evaluate whether there are significant differences between these two types of flow. The next task is to answer the question whether the amount of the mixture flowing wellhead linearly dependent on the size of the underpressure induced in the borehole.
