Original language description
Pyrolysis is considered one of the possibilities of conversion of waste polyethylene terephthalate, which is an important raw material used in the manufacture of packaging, especially PET bottles. The article describes the effects of ozone on the properties of the solid pyrolysis residue obtained by pyrolysis of pure colorless polyethylene terephthalate. Results have shown that ozone has a negative effect on the size of the specific surface of the carbon material and thus its sorption capacity.
