THE USE OF RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAM AFTER THE END OF ITS LIFE CYCLE IN BUILDING INDUSTRY
Original language description
The presented work deals with the issue of the use of rigid polyurethane foam after the end of its life cycle with the density of 30-80 kg.m-3 in the production of thermal insulating mortar suitable for plastering. The work informs about polyurethane products, including expanded polyurethane foams. It also provides an overview of the sources of waste polyurethane foam and the following possibilities of recycling of polyurethanes. The practical part of this work presents the results of an experimental research, which dealt with the use of rigid polyurethane foam after the end of its life cycle, as new filler in thermal insulating mortar for plastering, which can be applied both to external and internal walls of buildings. The experimental mixtures weretested in order to determine the density of hardened mortar, the strength of mortar in compression, the mortar consistency, the backing adhesive strength of mortar, the thermal conductivity coefficient and the spreadable time. It also inc
