The book presents qualitative and quantitative assessment of slope movements and deformations. Since May 2010 when hundreds of landslides were reactivated due to the anomalous rainfalls in Czech and Slovak republic, necessity of detailed study of individual landslide sites as well as importance of landslide hazard and risk maps rapidly increased. That landslide caused in both countries immense direct and indirect socio-economical losses and still presents serious geohazard in land use planning activities. Also from those reasons we decided to prepare this book including also several case studies in our countries with relevant results.
