The article deals with the reclamation of the Olšany mining area to suit new trends in the reclamation of land affected by mining activities. The introductory section briefly describes the basic data on the Olšany Quarry and characteristics of the deposit. The solution itself is the proposal of technical and biological reclamation of the concerned deposit, and evaluation of the submitted proposal. The key part of the article consists of the economic balance quantifying the costs necessary to carry out reclamation in this area.
