This article focuses on the description of the igneous rock from a quarry area known as Podhůra, which is located in the territory of the Czech Republic at a distance of approximately 2.5 km south of Lipník. Mining in the quarry is performed by the company KAMENOLOMY ČR s.r.o., which ensure mining, production and sales of the crushed stone. KAMENOLOMY ČR s.r.o. is a part of one of Europe's leading construction groups STRABAG SE. This company is the sole producer of aggregates in the Czech Republic and also one of the largest aggregate producers in the Czech Republic. The first part of the text presents a brief introduction to the issue of the quarry and formation of the igneous rock, followed by a more detailed description of the quarry, which is still active, and the surrounding area where the rock was found in 1984 by J. Dvořák. After it was found, this igneous rock became a subject of numerous studies. Subsequently, the article provides a detailed description of the mineralogical analysis of the rock and the presence of all minerals found in the studied material. The paper is concluded with a final evaluation of the entire description of the discovered vein of the igneous rock.
