Evolution of main macroeconomic characteristics indicates the strength and condition of economies worldwide. According to these characteristics budgets are being compiled, success of governments is being measured, large enterprises are being oriented etc. Energy raw materials harvested in the Czech Republic are currently under a large environmental and political pressure. The aim of this article is to evaluate dependency of selected energy raw materials harvested in the Czech Republic on selected external conditions in neighbouring countries, which are not only the basic macroeconomic indicators such as gross domestic product, unemployment rate and industrial production index, which is not included in the basic macro data, but records condition of industry as a whole. The results of the present article should be the basis for medium- and long-term management decisions in strategic planning.
