Original language description
Processes controlled by automatic regulation make possible to process the coal flotation sludge stored in sedimentation ponds near the mines in the region of Ostrava-Karviná. Sludge was previously formed as unusable waste during coal preparation in flotation, and it represents a significant environmental burden for the landscape. In the last several years, lagoons have been extracted by floating suction dredgers, and the value of this raw material is increased on the homogenization line, or it is added to the flotation feedstock at the Jan Karel preparation plant in Karviná. The preparation process is controlled by automatic regulation according to the set of desired ash contents in the output products.
