    DYNAMIC SORPTION OF ORGANIC SUBSTANCES TO CLAY MATERIALS

    The submitted article deals with preparation and studying of column and static (batch) sorption of phenanthrene and to organically modified vermiculite which, besides other things, is used as sorption material. The aim of this article was to find out the sorption effectivity of modified vermiculite by using the method of column (dynamic) sorption. A laboratory equipment was designed for sorption in column order which was used to test the dynamic sorption of phenathrene from aqueous solution. The dynamic sorption of the substance was complemented by a simplified experiment by the method of batch sorption in the system containing identical sorbent and identical substances. There were this material and these chemicals used: 40% HDTMA - vermiculite, demineralised water, phenanthrene (stock solution in methanol at a concentration of 19.7 mg.ml-1), methanol, extract agent - n-hexane and dichlormethane, sodium sulphate anhydrous.
