APPLICATION OF PRODUCTION WELL LOGGING FOR THE MONITORING OF TIGHTNESS UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE
Original language description
Well logging is usually used for monitoring the technical condition of the wells. This means whether there is degradation of the casing (potential subsurface damage of well) or not and uncontrolled overflow behind casing´s strings. Measurement is able to cover both the static state of change saturation and the dynamic process of the ongoing spill in the relevant horizon. Furthermore, if there are monitored overlying horizons because of gradual overflow and saturation of the storage gas caused untightness of wells or gradual saturation on direct contact to the storage structure with overlying rocks. For this determine is the most used interpretation of logging methods TM (Temperature), TDM (differential temperature), PNN (Pulsed neutron), DDN (dual detector neutron), NNK (neutron neutron log), GR (gamma ray log), CCL (casing collar locator). The frequency of measurement depends partly on results well logging on wells monitored and evaluated over time. Whether the situation identified on storage wells of well logging is stabilized and in certain monitored period constant. And last but not least, legislative rules in the country and the prescribed frequency of well logging. Realization of well logging is always associated with other technical operations and an increased risk for the operation of the underground gas storage. It is useful to analyze the history of measurements and perform continuous optimization - reducing the number of measurements on wells where it has long been no registered problems and focus more on potential problematic wells.
