Wi-Fi Based Temperature Sensor
Original language description
Recently, there has been an increasing interest in a wireless device that is able to demonstrate compliance with the set temperature limits throughout the product life cycle. There are various wireless devices on the market that are capable of storing temperature information in their memory and communicating them on demand, usually by reading the tag. In this article, we describe a developed wireless device for temperature measurement, especially designed for food purposes. The device is capable of recording the temperature of its surroundings and retaining its history in electronic memory and using wireless communication technology to upload it to superior systems. The result can be particularly useful as a proof of proper storage of chilled and frozen food. Portable devices have a huge market potential, but their use has been limited because of the energy consumption. For this reason, the article also focuses on the optimization of energy consumption for the longest possible life span.
