Wi-Fi Approach for Indoor Localization
Original language description
Demand for deployment of indoor localization has steadily increased. Thanks to Internet of Things (IoT), and ubiquitous connectivity it can provide useful information and wide range of services. Different techniques, wireless technologies and mechanisms have been proposed by many researchers to provide indoor positioning systems in order to improve the services provided to the users. The paper presents localization technique used for positioning with wireless access points that are based on measuring the intensity of the received signal (RSSI). The developed locator contains the ESP 8266 chip, which is able to list information about its position in the room. An algorithm was developed to identify and list location information based on measurements.
