Constantly expanding offers of specific forms of tourism are one of the newest trends in the tourist sector. Industrial tourism is one of such cases that is currently blooming in the Czech Republic and, in extension, Europe. It represents new phenomenon appearing in relation to the industrial heritage that can be used for the purpose of tourism. The main goal and idea of industrial tourism is to mediate the comprehensive insight into the industrial development of given region to a visitor. The same object that appears mundane to local populace can be found unusual and attractive by visitors. Industrial tourism is at the same time one of the ways to conserve the legacy of industrial era which influenced not only Europe but also the whole world. The Czech Republic is geographically located in the centre of Europe. Especially because of its position, the history of the country was always conditioned by the developments in Europe. One of the main milestones distinguishing different stages of technical progress was definitely the era of industry started by the industrial revolution in the 18th century.
