    Review of the use of waste tires in concrete

  • Original language description

    The volume of tires at the end of their life cycle in the EU as well as worldwide has witnessed an increasing trend since 2013. This is the type of waste that is of great interest to scientists in Europe and in the whole world. This article presents the current methods of processing, recycling and disposal of tires at the end of their life cycle. The main attention is focused on the results of research and development, which dealt with the issue of the use of tires at the end of the life cycle in concrete. The building industry segment offers us great opportunities to use by-products in order to save natural resources of raw materials. (C) Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
