Application of the DJI Mavic 3 Drone for Photogrammetric Modeling of Surface Mines
Original language description
This study investigates the application of the DJI Mavic 3 drone in creating photogrammetric models of surface mining sites, focusing on its capabilities and potential for industrial use. The research evaluates the technical features and technologies of the DJI Mavic 3, emphasizing its suitability for aerial photogrammetry. A practical case study demonstrates the deployment of the drone in a mining context, capturing high-resolution data to construct a de-tailed photogrammetric model of a surface quarry. The results underscore the utility of the DJI Mavic 3 in generating accurate terrain models, which can support various industrial and geological applications. This work highlights the advantages of integrating UAV-based photogrammetry in the mining in-dustry, including improved efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and accessibility. The findings provide a foundation for further exploration of drone technolo-gies in industrial and environmental monitoring.
