Study of electrochemical corrosion phenomena of duplex stainless steels by use of SRET methods.
Original language description
The SRET (scanning reference electrode technique) is suitable to these types of corrosion whose origin is in local phenomena. With the SRET, electrochemical activity is monitored using a rotating working electrode, and in-situ measurements of microgalvanic activity are made with respect to time. The application of method on duplex stainless steels enables real-time and in-situ studies of electrochemical phenomena and thus will contribute to better understanding of his corrosion characteristics.
