Samples were rolled and controlled cooled at the Tandem two-stand laboratory rolling mill that together with four heating and annealing furnaces models the full scale Steckel used for the strips hot rolling. Mechanical properties depend on volume fraction of martensite, which is influenced by the cooling pattern.
