The development of martensitic and/or martensitic-austenitic stainless steels has brought optimalization of the chemical and structural composition including limit contents of the accompanying elements. The presented results concerning electrochemical polarization testing and structural analysis. The microstructure of these steels can contribute to optimal mechanical and corrosion properties and particularly of the weld joints.
