    Catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide has been carried out on thermally calcined hydrotalcites of general formula MII-Al-CHT, where MII = Mg, Ni, Cu, Co. Ni and Co-containing catalyst showed high activity, followed by copper. The materials were characterized by (TG/DTA), XRD, IR and BET.
