Secondary effects at the electrochemical measurement of oxygen diffusion in polymers
Original language description
New configuration of the experiment was developed for thick samples, where the effect of external mass transfer may be less significant. When inert atmosphere is kept on the cathode side of the sample, lateral diffusion is suppressed, namely when the insulation ring width w is minimized. Permeabilities determined by the suggested method are in good accordance with the results obtained by standard ISO method whenever available.
